Friday Free Play Florida Panthers at Dallas Stars

Courtesy of Handicapper Wunderdog After winning their opener in a shootout, the Florida Panthers have tasted victory just once since and are really struggling to find the net. They have tallied just 18 goals in the nine games played since their opener, including just seven in their four road games for a total of less than two tallies per contest. The Stars have been playing well of late and have shown exactly what a coach likes to see on the offensive end – consistency. The Stars have scored four goals in each of their last four games. The Panthers have only reached that mark twice all season, and have yet to make it to five, so their chances here are not that great. The Stars have capitalized at home against weak opponents cashing in a 55-23-3 mark against opponents with a road mark of under .400. The Panthers’ 7-19 mark in their last 26 puts the exclamation point on this one. The Stars get the call. To see more NHL picks, click

Saturday Free Play: Bruins at Senators

Courtesy of Handicapper Wunderdog The Boston Bruins haven’t quite started as they had hoped. So far they have been on a win one, lose one course to start the season. This is good news as they have now won four straight after a loss, and six straight going back to the regular season a year ago. The Senators have played reasonably well to start the season, but lost their last one at home to Nashville, allowing six goals in the process. That might be bad news for them here as the Bruins have taken advantages of teams off of defensive lapses. The Bruins have been 43-21 in their last 64 games after an opponent allows five or more to slip through the net. The Bruins have also dominated the teams in the Northeast as they have gone 21-6 in their last 27. Ottawa is at the top of that list as Boston has won seven of the last eight played between these clubs. Boston gets the call here as a very live dog. To see more NHL picks, click
