On the eve of the lockout-shortened NHL season, Bodog.ca has posted odds to win several trophies including the Norris Trophy for the best defenceman, Vezina Trophy for the best goaltender, Art Ross Trophy for the points leader and the Rocket Richard Trophy for the top goal scorer.
Last year’s winners are favourites to win three of the four trophies this season: Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson is favoured to win the Norris; Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist is favoured to win the Vezina, and Lightning centre Steven Stamkos is favoured to win the Rocket Richard; Stamkos had 60 goals last season.
Meanwhile, Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby, who missed much of the last two seasons due to concussion symptoms, is favoured to win the Art Ross for the second time; he won the trophy for the first time in 2006-07 when he recorded 120 points in what was his second NHL season.
